About Justice Henrie

Justice Henrie is an Appalachian writer and artist, born and raised in the mountains of West Virginia. Her childhood was steeped in the rhythms of the natural world—where she learned the names of medicinal plants, the secrets of the forest, and the stories that lived in the land. A graduate of law school in San Francisco, she later earned an LL.M. in Intellectual Property from the University of Illinois. Her work explores themes of identity, inheritance, and transformation, blending the rootedness of Appalachian tradition with a global lens shaped in part by her study of Japanese language and culture where she lived for five years. Justice currently resides in Singapore.
